SERMON notes

03/29/2026

Pastor A.J. Bamberg

Being chosen by God:

With emphasis that this divine election is both a privilege and a responsibility for believers.

Key Highlights of the Sermon:

The Audacity of Being Chosen or the "preposterous" yet beautiful reality that God selects individuals—not based on human merit or social status, but because He has a specific purpose for them.

Being "chosen" often feels counterintuitive to human experience (like being picked for teams on a schoolyard).

Identity as a "Bridge" Pastor A.J. shared a personal revelation about his own identity, reframing his past struggles as God "repaving" him to serve as a bridge that supports and helps others on their journey home to God.

The Responsibilities of the Chosen:

Being chosen entails active duty, including: Being a Witness: Sharing one's faith and the truth of Christ with others. Knowing and Loving God: Pursuing a deep, personal relationship with Him.

Participation: Working alongside God in His kingdom work. We are His hands, spreading His love to others.

Partaking in the Divine Nature: A central theme is the truth that through God's promises, believers are enabled to share in the divine nature, transforming their character and escaping worldly corruption.

Living the Witness:  One's testimony is reflected in daily conduct outside of church walls. Older men and women to be examples of perseverance, dignity, and sound teaching for the next generation. Everyone has a purpose, a calling, a testimony.

Conclusion We are reminded not need to worry about the outcome of our witness—convicting or condemning is God's arena; the believer’s calling is simply to be a faithful witness and remain true to God in this world.

We are chosen.

03/15/2026

Pastor Carl Roberts

Jesus understands humanity: Jesus understands our frailty and struggles because he was tempted just as we are, yet conquered it

Accessing Grace: Grace is defined as undeserved favor from God, available to believers at any time through prayer to God’s “throne of grace”

Grace in Weakness: 2 Corinthians 12 God’s grace is “more than enough” and his power is made perfect in our weaknesses.

Encourage viewing weakness not as a negative, but as a moment to rely on Christ.

The Power of Humility: We are urged to adopt a mindset of humility, constantly acknowledging our need for help and asking for fresh grace daily

Living Under Grace: Instead of being held by legalism or harsh self-judgment, believers should live under the “umbrella of grace,” which brings freedom and victory

 Final Challenge

Be Grace-Filled:  become grace-filled people, ensuring that our interactions with others reflect the grace we have received.

Scripture reading-Colossians (Col) 3:9-14 CJB

[9] Never lie to one another; because you have stripped away the old self, with its ways, [10] and have put on the new self, which is continually being renewed in fuller and fuller knowledge, closer and closer to the image of its Creator. [11] The new self allows no room for discriminating between Gentile and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, foreigner, savage, slave, free man; on the contrary, in all, the Messiah is everything. [12] Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. [13] Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive. [14] Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly;

We must allow the word of God to guard and guide our lives

 A Spiritual Adjustment-

John 4:35-56(TBT)- John 4:23-24 TPT

[23-24] From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.

I believe this passage reveals the key priorities for health relationships:

  1. Love God.

  2. Love Yourself.

  3. Love Others.

Choose your motivation in how you move to love others – It is our of our love for God that we have a desire to love others and reach them with the message of Jesus’ love.

I Cor. 3:12-15 (TPT) 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 TPT

[12-13] The quality of materials used by anyone building on this foundation will soon be made apparent, whether it has been built with gold, silver, and costly stones, or wood, hay, and straw. Their work will soon become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by blazing fire! And the fire will test and prove the workmanship of each builder. [14] If his work stands the test of fire, he will be rewarded. [15] If his work is consumed by the fire, he will suffer great loss. Yet he himself will barely escape destruction, like one being rescued out of a burning home, a fire will test and prove the workmanship.

Matt. 9:36-38 Matthew 9:36-38 TPT

[36] When he saw the vast crowds of people, Jesus’ heart was deeply moved with compassion, because they seemed weary and helpless, like wandering sheep without a shepherd. [37] He turned to his disciples and said, “The harvest is huge and ripe! But there are not enough harvesters to bring it all in. [38] As you go, plead with the Owner of the Harvest to thrust out many more reapers to harvest his grain!”

I believe this verse is a prophetic verse speaking directly right now to the people of God across the globe.

It is indeed "Harvest Time!"Same as our key verse of John 4:35 (NIV) and (KJV)

God spoke this to Our missionary’s heart recently in Niger: “God the Father and I are one."   “God's heart is the Harvest."

-my International Harvester combine & the vision confirms our missionary’s vision.

How do we do this:

Lift up our eyes and look on the fields.

1 Jesus instructed us to "pray/ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers." Matt.9.38 (TPT)

2  It’s time for  you to broaden your vision. I can go regularly and effectively in prayer“Intercession is an act love!”,  Example “Make Heaven Crowded” Tshirt/saying.

Where is our huge opportunity today? – Iran. They are an open opportunity to spread God’s word to 90 plus million people! We have an opportunity to pray and intercede on behalf of 93 million people. It’s God’s heart for us to pray… to even be sent.We can do MORE-to pray, to give, to share, to see God’s message go forward,

Revelation 7:9 (TPT) Revelation of Yeshua to Yochanan

(Rev) 7:9 CJB

[9] After this, I looked; and there before me was a huge crowd, too large for anyone to count, from every nation, tribe, people and language. They were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and holding palm branches in their hands Every nation tribe, people group!

Conclusion-Look beyond. See the harvest!

Visualize YOUR “God’s Harvest!”

GM Challenge: Ask God to Guide your steps this year.

Biblical definitions for Faith and Trust

Heb. 11:1 (NLT) Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we have nothing seen.

Assurance -

Heb. 11:7-9 (CJB)

7 By trusting, Noach, after receiving divine warning about things as yet unseen, was filled with holy fear and built an ark to save his household. Through this trusting, he put the world under condemnation and received the righteousness that comes from trusting.

8 By faith Avraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

8 By trusting, Avraham obeyed, after being called to go out to a place which God would give him as a possession; indeed, he went out without knowing where he was going.

9 By trusting, he lived as a temporary resident in the Land of the promise, as if it were not his, staying in tents with Yitz'chak and Ya'akov, who were to receive what was promised along with him.

Heb 4:19 (CJB)

19 Moreover, my God will fill every need of yours according to his glorious wealth, in union with the Messiah Yeshua.

- God WILL PROVIDE our needs

Example -Ask God, What Bible based truths does He want to cultivate in you? Then, seek His counsel as to what practical steps HE would have you take.

Psalm 32:2 (NLT)

2 Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!

James 2:14

14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? -NLT

And in The Passion Translation -

'14My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone? ' -TPT

James (Jacob) 2:14

“Faith that has not been tested, cannot be trusted.” John Bevere

The Blood of Christ Provides:

Salvation- Mark 14:24

Forgiveness- Hebrews 9:22

Cleansing- 1 John 1:7

Washing- Revelation 1:5

Redemption- Ephesians 1:7

Peace- Colossians 1:19-20

Overcoming Power- Revelation 12:11

Christ Provides”

How do we make this happen?

Exodus 12:15 (CJB)

What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith but has no actions to prove it?  Is such "faith" able to save him?

We have a better sacrifice the Perfect sacrifice Jesus Christ, the paved protection.  We take this sacrifice to our lives?

Believe in the blood, that it heals by trust.

Sanctification – the blood continually moves us forward into our salvation. Believe the scripture, if applied, it will change your life. It defeats the devil. Plead the blood and move FORWARD in FREEDOM. How do we move forward to that?

- Return to the basics

Humility - a geniune brokeness for how we are and what He's done for you.

Confession and Repentence -

Ps. 51:17 a broken spirit to transformation

Find the place to return to how our faith began.

God help me to center myself on You.

Re-immerse yourself in Biblical truth. Insert "ASK GOD" Pic

God Show me

Matthew - beatitudes as an example

Recall and testify of What GOD's clone for you.

Seek the counsel as to practical steps HE would have you takes.

We all have the opportunity with God. Wall to Walk on the WATER by Faith.

Psalm 121-It is a personal experience. --Nothing can touch us unless God allows it.

The 2026 GM Challenge-

Ask and allow God To GUIDE your steps.

We are under the umbrella of God's protection. Ask God to direct our steps.

Example the life of Job-His endurance through the test God allowed.

Ex: 12:12-13

The Guardian God
Part 3

1) PS. 37:23 (AMP) (Guided Steps sermon series)
“The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord,
and He delights in his way [and blesses his path].
Reminder of our:
2026 GM Church Challenge:
1) Ask and Allow God to Guide your Steps this Year!
Consider what provisions you are living in.
There were some provoking questions from last Sunday’s message were:
2) What Provision Christ purchased for me am I living in?
3) What Provision Christ purchased am I lacking?
True statement:

The Cross is at the Center of all of God’s Provision.
Today, we are going to take time to Acknowledge and Honor the Blood of Jesus.

(Heart Blockage Analog/Condition)
I believe my recent heart condition can be used as a great analogy for us today.

On Nov. 17th I found out I had some major block arteries in my heart.
One was blocked 90 % and 2 other arteries were 80% blocked.
The condition of my heart came as a complete surprise to me.
In other words, I did not realize the condition of my heart.
I believe this statement is true for many of God’s people. We often do not realize our heart is
blocked by some heart issue which hinders the power of the blood of Jesus.

* It is interesting, Beloved, I wanted to go directly to teach on the topic of the blood of Jesus,
but the Holy Spirit would not release me to do so until I brought this challenge of heart blockage.
I believe strongly that many of the sicknesses in the BOC are connected to some unresolved sin
issue lodged in the heart.
2) Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Proverbs 4:23 (TPT)
“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are.
Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring
(seasons) of life.” It is our heart, not our age or circumstances that shape the seasons of our life.
No wonder the Psalmist writer says:
3) PS. 139:23-24 (NIV)
23 “Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,”
PS. 139:23-24 (TPT)
23 God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart.
Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me.

24 See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on,
and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way,
the path that brings me back to you.”
*Many I strongly suggest each one of us get a spiritual “EKG” done.
Ask Holy Spirit to show us the true condition of our heart.

Sins we commit against ourselves.
4) Matt. 22:39 (TPT) Jesus said
* ‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being,
and with every thought that is within you.’  38 This is the great and supreme commandment.
39 And the second is like it in importance:
‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.’”
God assumes that we love and accept ourselves. However, I have found that many people in the
Church today who hate themselves, their bodies or the way they look. They hate their fatness,
their personality, or their level of intelligence. As a result, they constantly curse themselves.
These are sins of self-hatred, self-rejection, low self-esteem, guilt and condemnation.
Self-hate is a heart condition which can result in physical sickness.
I am reading a book right now where the author makes this statement.
“I have observed some of the most dramatic healings took place when people repent of self-
hatred.”
My point today is that often sickness can be connected to a heart issue.
Conclusion-
Jesus taught repeatedly in order to receive God’s forgiveness you must also forgive.
5) Matt. 6:12 (TPT)
“Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves
release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.”
Matt. 6:14-15 (TPT)
“And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others
so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you.
15 But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”
* Bury the Hatchet
What does a hatchet symbolize in the Bible? Answer:
The Hatchet symbolized a grudge or a yearning for vengeance.
*This expression came from a centuries-old practice involving the literal burying of a hatchet,
seen among the Native America tribes of North America. Chiefs would meet and bury their
weapons as a symbolic gesture of peace.
Bury the Hatchet means to make peace, to settle differences with an unresolved issue. It means
letting go of an old offense. Make a decision today to “bury the hatchet and move on.

Guided Steps

Our Guardian God Part 2

 Pastor Carl Roberts

Psalm 37:23 (AMP) The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD,

And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].

The Devil uses your disbelief of your own righteousness and good THROUGH Christ Jesus.

Ask God to Guide your steps daily through the impression of God by the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 121:1-4 (TPT)

"I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God's help, But The Guardian God protects you in exery life event and carries us through the process Nothing could penetrate the shield of Protection. God Placed around my life.

Psalm 121:5-8 “GOD’s your Guardian,

right at your side to protect you—

Shielding you from sunstroke,

    sheltering you from moonstroke.

7-8 GOD guards you from every evil,

    he guards your very life.

He guards you when you leave and when you return,

he guards you now, he guards you always.

I am guarded by God HIMSELF.

The Bible acknowledges that God does nothing that happens is out side His control or knowledge. Therefore, we have nothing to fear.

We must understand that the Cross of Jesus was a legal transaction. It was the legal authority through the CROSS and Christ that cleared our sin.

Colossians 2:14-15 (TPT) –

[14] He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display.

He erased it all and Jesus made a public display of legally clearing the “paperwork” of our sin debt.

The CROSS is at the center of all provision. The blood sacrifice of the Lamb of God is the central theme of the Bible.

There are 290 references to God’s Love in the Bible

What Provision has Christ purchased for me am I living in?

Example: I have His provision of Salvation

The provision of Peace. I Am Minus chaos and confusion (He purchased peace for us)The provision of financial provision.

What provision finacially am I living in?

Provision of acceptance . Know you are accepted by Christ. DO NOT carry REJECTion in your mind.

-have you ever had a “benefit you didn’t know about? Extra money ? What provision Christ purchased am I lacking?? Pastor’s example-hearing loss. Do you need healing? Do you need more knowledge? Family dynamics healing? You have to grasp on and live in what Chist provided for you. We believe In the Power of the blood.

Next week: The POWER of the blood – Read these

1. Forgiveness (1 John 1:9)

2. Healing (Isaiah 53:5).

Contend for a better experience fo us and our Church body. Not only. Physical, soul wounds; body – Soul-spirit

3. Righteousness (2 Corithians 5:21; Romans 3:22)

4. Life instead of death (John 3:16, Romans 6:23)

5. Blessing instead of the Curse (Galations 3:13)

6. Abundance tnstead of Poverty (John 1010, Phil 4:19)

7. Glory instead of shame (Zeph

8. Acceptance instead of Rejection (Gal 4:6-7 Rom 8:14)

New man instead of the old man) (2 Cor. 5:17-18

Guided Steps Part 3

PS.37:23-AMP

Ps.37:4 and 5

2 Parts-

(Condition)Our Part

(Promise) God’s Part

God knows you and your desires.

The journey could be dangerous, as bandits or other hostile men might hide in the hills to attack vulnerable pilgrims. The ultimate source of confidence, in any such situation, is God.

Our Church Challenge for 2026: Ask and allow God to guide your steps in 2026

Psalm 121:1-4 (TPT) “Look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God's help. But then I realize that our trur help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.'

Our Guardian God

1-Ex 13.21-22 II Kings 6:1 Nothing could penetrate the shield of protection God placed around my life! Nothing could touch me without God’s permission!

God picked US

"God picked me up and carried me through, across the heart bypass procedure and put me down on the other side where my destiny is. "

“I sense God wants to unlock/reveal/make known to us a core truth today.”

Nothing to fear’

Satan uses the tool of future doubt, we become anxious about tomorrow and what will transpire.

“Whenever God reveals Himself to us, it is because He wants us to enter into a new experience with Him that will take us to a new level of understanding and Spiritual maturity.”

'Revelation is always for the purpose of growth and the advancement of the purposes of God. God opens the doors of revelation for us, but the choice is ours whether or not we go in and experience it.'

Guarded by God himself.

The Bible acknowledges that God does NOT absolutely guarantee our safety in earthly life. Yet our omniscient and loving Father watches over us, all the same. Ps,121:86 (TPT)

Conclusion Remove the LIE-

You can trust God with your Future. God holds tomorrow!

We don’t always feel righteous. Psalm 37:3 (Amplified) The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]You are considered “righteous” because of who you appear and are in Christ. Don’t forget who you are or that you can be in right standing with Him. God delights in you. He desires a relationship with you. The likes you.

Ps 37:23 (CTPT)    “When YAHWEH delights in how you live your life, he establishes your every step, and if you stumble badly you will still survive, for the Lord lifts you up with his hands establishes your steps.”

Our 2026 GM church Challenge:

Ask and allow God to Direct your steps in 2026.

-Joyce Meyer quote -“I encourage you to confess the Word of God out loud throughout the day as the Holy Spirit prompts you. Each time a thought comes to your mind that does not agree with God’s Word, confess the truth of God’s Word out loud, and you will find the wrong thought disappearing.” God has a plan for your life that works for YOUR life. That path is yours, pursue it will satisfy you.” Psalm25:12-13”  Your life will be blessed if you follow the path Genesis2:1-2 –(TPT)

Let go of the things you are comfortable with and love him daily.

The fulfillment of your destiny requires a step of faith by You. We are so comfortable, it takes something drastic to move you. It will require a ton of inconvenience to you and your life. Often, you can’t know it Is God’s direction for your life. You must take that first FAITH step,

God’s favor and protection is with you if you listen and have faith. His protection  is with you, He’ll give you immediate confirmation. You’ll know it!

Our example (Carl and Theresa) Their rental business.

1. They had to take a step of faith 2. They had to be good stewards. 3. Treat the tenants fairly,

Closing Thoughts:

Practical ways to walk in guided steps

1, Start the day in scriptures Inviting the Lord to highlight the priorities in the day

2. Pause before commitments, ask God Is this something you want me to do?

Moment by moment obedience matters.

3. Failure does not need to paralyze us; even a misstep can be redirected by the Lord (see us, 21)

  • Not saying we should constantly asking every step of the day. Should I eat? Should I pray? It means being in a place to hear God and sense His leading presence.

Church, again,

the GM Challenge in 2026 is

ASK AND ALLOW GOD TO DIRECT YOUR STEPS IN 2026.

Guided Steps

Pastor Carl Roberts

On this 1st Sunday of January 2026, I believe it appropriate for me to take some time and “boast/brag on God.

1) PS. 34:1-2 (KJV)

“I will bless the LORD at all times:

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:

The humble shall hear thereof and be glad.”

The writer draws a contrast between the righteous and the wicked in this portion of scripture.

2) PS. 37:20-26 (NLT)

20 “But the wicked will die.

The Lord’s enemies are like flowers in a field—

they will disappear like smoke.

21 The wicked borrow and never repay,

but the godly are generous givers.

22 Those the Lord blesses will possess the land,

but those he curses will die.”

(The Godly)

PS. 37:23-26 (NLT)

23 “The Lord directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives.

24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,

for the Lord holds them by the hand.

25 Once I was young, and now I am old.

Yet I have never seen [the godly abandoned]

or their children begging for bread.

26 The godly always give generous loans to others,

and their children are a blessing.”

(Key Passage)

3) PS. 37:23 (AMP)

“The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord,

and He delights in his way [and blesses his path].

PS. 37:23 (TPT)

23 “When Yahweh delights in how you live your life,

he establishes your every step.”

I am more convinced now more than ever that our steps are ordered/guided by the Lord.

(Testimony section)

Wednesday morning Nov. 19th around 8:00 a.m. as I was standing in the kitchen I had this pain,

almost like an electrical shock that went across my chest.

I emphasize this point hoping to help other people recognize the signs. It pain was very pain.

I would say it was a 3 on a scale of 1-10. I said to myself in that moment, “that doesn’t feel right.” Soon afterwards I had slight pain in my arms, and my stomach felt a little sick. Again, to emphasize, I could have easily missed the signs they were so slight. I then said to Theresa, I hate to tell you this but I think I need to go to the emergency room. Got to the ER told them what was happening and I mean, “immediately” they took me to the back and hooked me up to an EKG. The EKG levels revealed I was indeed having a heart attack. Shortly after they took me to the Cath lab to attempt to put in a stint. I was not in there long before they recognized I had 3 blockages. 1 at 90% and 2 at 80%. All of this seemed to happen seamlessly, which is normally not the case in the ER.

PS. 37:23 (NLT)

23 “The Lord directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives.

Listen to this detail. By around 1:30 that afternoon God had handpicked a surgeon for me in OKC. A room became available and my ambulance ride was ready and waiting. In other words,

Everything fell into place.

Listen Beloved, Only God can arrange things with such precision and order.

Emphasize: The entire time I had this inner peace.

Familiar scripture reminder that we often quote:

4) Romans 8:28 (NLT)

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Romans 8:28 (TPT)

“So, we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good,

for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”

*Testimony continues:

God answered one of our prayers during my 2 & ½ day before surgery.

*During that time God reconnected the Roberts’ family household.

It was beautiful to watch God working in this way.

5) PS.37:4-5 (TPT)

“Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most.

5 Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way,

you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly.
