Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” He who knows every star by name knows how to heal our wounds, great or small. Have you nursed the ache of a broken heart over everything from arguments, to grief, to the effects of sin? Those are greater wounds than broken bones. By putting Jesus on the cross, the burden of our sin broke the Father’s heart as He placed the penalty for that sin upon the broken body of Christ. This caused Jesus to feel the anguish of being forsaken by His loving Father, whose fellowship He’d only known perfectly until that moment on the cross.
