Guilt keeps us distant while forgiveness draws us near. Jesus invites His own to draw near, and we believe there is joy in the presence of the Lord, our Abba Father. The self-righteous won’t come to Christ until they’ve formed a perfect path for themselves, but the righteous in Christ gratefully run the road paved for them by His Sinless blood.
